Since establishing my business in 1979, my firm has had clients in Amarillo; Austin; San Antonio; Houston; Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex; Tampa Bay, Florida; Southern Maryland; Northern Virginia and the Washington, DC metropolitan area. These clients generally fall into three ranges:

entrepreneurs in one-person offices;

those who wish to attract their first ten employees or associates;

those with burgeoning companies who attract significantly more employees or associates.
The Business Plan and Marketing Strategy are documents created by the client and Forrest Allen Ward with the express purpose of providing an incremental process for implementing both short-range and long-range procedures to facilitate attainment of the client’s vision, goals and objectives for their business.
The Business Plan and the Marketing Strategy are the documents created to crystallize and implement the client’s vision for their business. These two documents organize the business into four main categories: Management, Marketing, Operations, and Financials.
The client and I build these documents by working through them in three different phases. The first phase allows the client to fully disclose, in detail, how the business is operating at present. This phase exposes what is working, as well as what is missing. It allows the client to share everything concerning the business. Based on the accumulated information, the client is given a choice in how they want to proceed, either maintain the business like it is or take the action necessary to put the business on a more profitable path to achieve the vision as well as contribute to the overall satisfaction of everyone affected by the business. This phase establishes a precise, starting point from which to begin and provides a specific, defined result that the client desires to achieve. How can you get where you want to go without the clear knowledge of where you are now?
The second phase of the document-building process allows the client to foresee how the vision that has been created will be expressed in all aspects and categories of the business. This phase defines how the client will operate the business using precise steps for each department, person, task, product, or service. It is then expanded to include the tasks others will perform both internally and externally. What will emerge are the policies, procedures, goals, concepts, products, and any other function that will be employed to operate the business. The business can now be tuned to include what jobs others will perform both within and without the business. How will the client operate the business using clear, precise steps for each department, person, and product/service?
The third phase is the most exciting one. Here is where the client has the opportunity to add self-expression and include all the fun there is to be had in operating the business. It shows how accurately the system that is created works and how well the original vision of the client is reflected throughout the business. It is a time for fine-tuning the way the categories fit together as a whole. When this process is completed, the documents can go to print in the final form. A person can accomplish so much more when, in all aspects, they have a clear vision, clarity of purpose, and a firm foundation on which to build.
With these documents, the client can guide the business by their vision and stay on purpose. The documents are a guide which enables the client to make adjustments to the business at any time to maintain and enhance the intended position in the marketplace. The client will know exactly when to take on new employees, what the tasks to perform, and how to negotiate with any employee, both before and after hiring, to establish a beneficial long-term working relationship. The client will know and understand the full range of assistance available through appropriate associations, partnerships, or agreements with others. The client will be able to clearly determine the impact that existing, as well as future, products or services will have on the business. The client can use the services provided by Forrest Allen Ward & Associates as a resource to assist and facilitate achievement of the client's vision both now and in the future.

There are lofty quotes that could be stated here in closing. There have been others who have reached and attained, forged and conquered, dreamed and realized. Surely, those individuals had plenty to say on how they accomplished what they set out to do. But here is where there is an established difference. Our work with the client provides an opening for the client to express themselves in their business. The result of our work with the client has the synergy to move an organization, give it renewed life, as well as serve its employees, associates, producers, and clients in the process.
How these Courses work:
I begin with the owner of the business and together they complete the Marketing Strategy Course and the Business Planning Course.
Upon completion of these two courses, the owner and I then use these completed documents as a springboard into the following courses:
The Desired Results Course is conducted with the employees of the business – that is anyone who works in the business. The goal is for each person to realize exactly what the vision and purpose of the business is and how best to achieve it with less hassle and more satisfaction on a personal level and for the benefit of the company.
All involved in the business will complete the Abundant Living Course to crystallize their individual goals so they can bring more satisfaction to the workplace. This course allows each person access to the goals in their life for which they are working. People who experience abundance and plenty in their lives bring a whole new level of satisfaction and completion to the work of the company – and they don’t leave a company where they are contentedly reaching their own goals.
Once these four courses are completed, the Intentional Communication Course is offered to any person involved in the sales process. Many salespeople, when asked about what they do, immediately begin a “Presentation”, hoping this “canned talk” will help them “sell” the potential client. This course provides an Interview Method of Sales. This method allows a salesperson to ascertain exactly what the customer is buying - and how to provide that very thing to the potential client as quickly as possible.
