There is considerable confusion in the marketplace about people who work with clients. My work is distinct in this area because my main roles are to Listen, to Converse, and to Ideate. In addition, I can Facilitate, Coach and Consult with an owner once the courses are completed.
Many people in this arena call themselves consultants without distinguishing themselves in the marketplace at all. How is one different from another?
First, I teach the 5 courses in the COMPLETE PACKAGE of COURSES; then, some clients wish to proceed further with me.
Upon completion of the courses, some clients want me to facilitate the implementation of some aspect (Management, Marketing, Operations or Financials) of the plan for them. To provide this service, the owner and I execute a contract. I serve as an independent contractor whose purpose is to make certain the owner’s vision and purpose are realized. My contracts for facilitating are written for a specified amount of time. Once the specified time is completed, a review is conducted to assess the results of my time in the client’s business.
A client may have other needs. I can be hired to personally coach and empower the client as the Marketing Strategy and the Business Plan are implemented. This requires another range of talents I am prepared to employ. A contract is finalized to specify the agreements and conditions of satisfaction are clear. Generally, this contract is for a shorter time period than facilitating, and requires many more significant skills.
Consulting consists of an owner engaging me to research a topic or market and bring findings to the client so that more exacting business decisions can be made. This may entail library research, work in media centers, interviews with influential individuals, or investigating a subject to find an answer which satisfies both the Marketing Strategy and the Business Plan for the company to work in the determined manner. I may consult the client about any improvements to increase productivity and employee harmony. This work involves a contract which spells out the agreements and conditions of satisfaction.
These three services require a client to ready themselves for growing their company to set new records. All these services are a contribution to making a client’s business more stable in its vision to serve as many of its clients as possible with the least amount of effort and struggle.
